Micro-pilot for the Training of Trainers in Prishtina, Kosovo
Date: 13 March 2026
Place: Prishtina, Kosovo
On 13 March 2026, a RiseUp-WB micro-pilot session was successfully held in Prishtina, Kosovo, bringing together 10 participants, including youth workers and volunteers. The event was organized by OBOTI NGO as part of the project’s activities across the Western Balkans.
The training was delivered by two trainers who previously completed the RiseUp-WB Training of Trainers in Tirana, Albania, giving them the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical and engaging setting. Participants engaged in a dynamic set of practical activities, including:
- Creating a safe and inclusive space through registration and group agreements
- Exploring inclusion by identifying barriers in youth work
- Understanding the RiseUp approach through a concise methodology overview
- Turning ideas into action using the Simple Business Model Canvas
- Pitching ideas through short and engaging presentations
- Reflecting on skills with a Mini-CV exercise
- Sharing feedback to support learning and improvement
Key insights from the pilot highlighted that active group work and a positive atmosphere strongly support engagement. At the same time, more structured, step-by-step guidance is needed for concept-heavy topics such as inclusive youth work and volunteer management, while digital facilitation is most effective when demonstrated in practice.
Overall, the pilot provided valuable recommendations for future activities, including strengthening practical examples, improving pacing, and using clearer templates, especially for employability-focused sessions. These lessons will directly inform the next phase of the project, ensuring even more effective and impactful trainings ahead.
